Yes. During your visit you will have the opportunity to sample several of our most popular flavors!

Yes. Due to limited availability and high demand there is a small fee to secure your visit on our calendar. If you choose to move forward with our services it will be applied to your order.  When you schedule your visit you will be sent an invoice for the consultation and tasting fee, $40 per couple   $20 for each additional person (up to 4) Once we have received payment your appointment will be confirmed.

Please keep in mind that cake samples are prepared specifically for you. We ask for the courtesy of 48 hours notice if your appointment needs to be rescheduled. Cancellations without the appropriate notice will be subject to an additional fee in order to rebook the appointment.

Although cake tasting is an element of your event that often times the whole family is eager to be a part of, we’ve found it’s a bit difficult to focus with too much input! Our studio can accommodate a total of four guests.

An hour is set-aside for each client, which has proven to be ample time to both design and taste our cakes. Often, appointments are scheduled before and after yours so please plan to be on time so we have a full hour.

It is helpful to have made venue, color and floral decisions prior to our meeting so we have that information available when designing your cake.

We ask that you put together a packet for us with any elements from your event that you feel we can draw inspiration from. Pictures of your wedding dress, reception venue, your invitations or design motif… a monogram, color swatches… a piece of jewelery that catches your eye… it can all be helpful.

The design process is definitely a collaborative effort and we’ll keep exploring options until you have a design you love.

Take a look at our calendar, which can be found under the "contact" menu. We post our availibility months in advance so you can find a time that best works with your schedule. When you find a time that works just click "schedule a consultation" in the contact menu and send us your information. We will get right back to you with time options. Easy as that!

We usually recommend no more than two flavors simply for ease of serving. There is no additional charge for a second flavor. If you do chose a third or fourth flavor there is a fee of $75 per flavor.

We do not have a general price list because each cake is one-of-a-kind. Most custom cakes are priced per person; smaller orders (typically, anything under 75 servings) are priced per project.  Because of the care we give to each order we must require a minimum of $800 on all of our cakes.

Pricing starts at $8 per serving. Our pricing tends to average from $9-$12 per serving. Ultimately the price is based on the complexity of design and the number of people being served.

Sheet cakes are available to supplement larger parties and are priced at $4.75 per serving.

Before you arrive for your consultation, it is helpful to have a budget in mind for what you would like to spend on your cake.  This will give us a better sense of what we can design for you.

Yes! We have designed our "Signature Collection" of cakes that is not subject to a minimum order specifically for events such as yours. Click on "Signature Collection" in the "Details" menu.

Yes. The minimum order applies to custom designed cakes for ANY occasion.

Our delivery area ranges from Napa to Big Sur. We are willing to travel anywhere our cakes can safely be delivered so please contact us to inquire about a specific location.Delivery and set up fees are additional and are calculated at an hourly rate of $95 – round-trip.

No, we do not ship our cakes at this time.

Yes, we require a 50 percent  retainer  to reserve your wedding date on our calendar.  We will base your retainer on the total estimated amount at the time you place your order.   We ask that you be absolutely certain that you would like to work with us, as all retainers are date specific and non-refundable.

Yes. You may reserve your date with a $500 retainer. Final arrangements just need to be made at least 6 weeks prior to your event.  Again, we ask that you be absolutely certain that you would like to work with us, as all retainers are date specific and non-refundable.

We are often booked up many weeks ahead of time so the sooner the better to reserve your place on our calendar. While we are happy to book your date as early as one year in advance, we will only book tastings up to 6 months in advance. The chances are high that design elements may change if booked earlier and it is essential to have everything in place before designing your cake!

We definitely attempt to accommodate last minute requests if our schedule allows.  Please call or email to find out our availability for your particular date.

Yes. We do custom designed cupcakes & stands often, starting at $10 per person. Individual cakes start at $40 each for one tier. Cookies start at $10 - including packaging for favors. Please contact us for additional information.

We do not have a brochure other than our website. Each cake is custom designed so our website serves mainly as a portfolio for you to see previous work. If you would like to schedule a consultation you will then have the opportunity to view our complete portfolio.

You can arrange fresh flowers directly with your florist. We will deliver the cake safely to your venue and your florist can place the flowers onsite.

We currently do not make sugar free or vegan cakes. For vegan cakes we recomend Black China Bakery (831.457.2068)  they make wonderful ones!

All of our ingredients are natural and of the highest quality, which is one of the reasons, our pricing tends to be just a bit higher than our competitors. Locally  sourced, organic ingredients are definitely used whenever possible. We truly believe that ingredients really do make all the difference and are committed to using only the finest products available.
